In her own words:
Looking back, Casey credits DTH coaching not just for the tactical shifts but for the emotional and psychological growth it brought to her journey.
"I thought I needed to hustle 24/7 to prove myself as an owner. But DTH showed me that real success lies in balance and trusting the people around you. [...] It was a huge mindset shift—moving from ‘I need to do it all’ to giving my team control and realizing this approach could actually drive our growth.”
Casey Lewis, the owner of Willow Room Collective in Lakewood, Ohio, has experienced a transformative journey through Destroy The Hairdresser coaching. She has transcended the chaos of managing a bustling salon and team, evolving towards a sustainable business model that fosters empowerment for both herself and her team.
The Challenge:
Initially hesitant about hourly pricing and redefining her role in the salon, Casey took a leap and reached out to DTH. Partnering with David, her DTH coach, Casey began a journey of transformation. Her goals? To step back from the chair, implement hourly pricing, and ultimately lead her team by example.

Taking the Leap:
With support from her coach, Casey restructured her business around DTH’s core principles. She more than doubled her rates, transitioning from a $60 haircut to $150 per hour. And as she stepped back, her team flourished, earning more without being constantly “slammed.” For Casey, this was a radical shift—not only in her salon’s finances but in the well-being and autonomy of her stylists.
Making the Shift:
For Casey, one of the hardest steps was letting go—allowing stylists the freedom to explore their own strengths while she took a real salary for the first time in her 13 years as a salon owner. By implementing hourly pricing, reducing retail, and even sharing stations, Willow Room became a place where stylists thrived.
The Role of Coaching:
Willow Room Collective is now a model of stability and innovation. With fewer retail shelves and more stylist stations, the salon has grown both financially and culturally. Casey even introduced benefits like 401k's for her team—a possibility only through the profits from DTH’s methods.
Results:
With DTH methods as her foundation, she now has a thriving team at Willow Room Collective, empowered by freedom in their schedules and the support of Casey’s leadership. By letting go of the non-essentials—like excessive retail and rigid schedules—she crafted a space focused on wellness, growth, and team synergy.
