Why did you decide to become a coach?

This is a two-fold answer for me. First, I am a natural-born teacher and have been for my entire life. I love showing someone how to do something faster/easier,/more efficiently. Second, because hiring a coach completely changed my life, I knew that I wanted to help others in our industry.

How would you describe your coaching style?

My coaching style is 50% empathy, 50% business, and 100% accountability.

What should someone expect when working with you?

I do not have a magic wand or an algorithm hack, a spreadsheet of *what to say to XYZ clients* or a get-rich-quick scheme. You should expect coaching to be hard and for no one around you to understand what the fuck you are doing.

What would you say to someone skeptical of hiring a coach?

What are you actually afraid of? It’s you, isn’t it?

What excites you about the Destroy The Hairdresser platform?

Everything. The Destroy The Hairdresser platform changed my entire life. It helped me find avenues and possibilities in my career that I would never have found without them.

What books have influenced your coaching style?

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson
Dark Horse by Todd Rose and Ogi Ogas
The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron

What has been your biggest success story as a coach?

Watching someone grow their vessel is a success story every fucking time.
