Franky (she/her) is an Upstate, New York native working in Chicago's West Loop as a bleach specialist, vivids expert, and educator. After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics from Temple University, she was inspired to sign up for cosmetology school after slam dunking an interview for a salon apprentice position and learning she needed a license. She has been farming follicles since 2007 and loves showing her clients how to fucking love their hair and her students how to fucking love doing hair. After working at a salon for 12 years, Franky felt burnt out, lost, and unsure of the next steps in her career. She remembered listening to a podcast called *Bleached* and, in searching the internet, fell in love with their new name - Destroy the Hairdresser. When Franky hired Cyd, she was asked why she wanted a coach; and her response was simply P E R M I S S I O N. Cyd helped empower Franky to give herself that permission, and five months she later opened her own private studio aptly called I Fucking Love Your Hair.
Since opening her business, Franky has raised her prices four times and is excited to show her students how to charge for bleaching and vivid services properly.

Why did you decide to become a coach?
I don’t think I decided; I think ✨the powers that be✨ led me to become one. It feels like the most natural path I’ve ever walked down in my entire life.
I’m so excited to be alongside my students as they experience their incredible transformations from coaching.
How would you describe your coaching style?
My coaching style is 50% business, 50% empathy, and 100% accountability.
My brain is unique for a creative because I love numbers and data. I’m a very balanced left and right-brained kind of human and an unstoppable idea factory.
What should someone expect when working with you?
They should expect to [meta] explore places they never thought they would entertain. They should expect to discover strengths inside of themselves they never knew they had. And they should expect to heal some shit that’s been weighing them down for far too long.
What would you say to someone skeptical of hiring a coach?
I would challenge that skepticism with a straightforward question… What are you actually afraid of?
From personal experience, I waited over a year to hire a coach, and while I don’t believe in regrets, the amount of relief I felt after just a few coaching sessions was epic. Knowing that I had this neutral person in my life that I could lean on and trust, who wasn’t biased the way friends and family are, was worth all the doll-hairs.
What excites you about the Destroy The Hairdresser platform?
Everything. The Destroy the Hairdresser platform changed my entire life. It helped me find avenues and possibilities in my career that I would never have found without them.
What books have influenced your coaching style?
Dark Horse by Todd Rose and Ogi Ogas
The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron
What has been your biggest success story as a coach?
Every single time I watch someone transform into the them that they have always wanted to be. *Chefs kiss* that shit is the best!
