How many of you have a 'to do' list that seems to be growing and not shrinking? Well say no more. We got you covered.
1. Use Your Down Time To Gain Leverage For The Upcoming Week
Why are you waiting for the first day of your work week to plan? No! Start early and go in prepared. When you have an overview of your week it eliminates stress and sets you up for success. Take advantage of your day off. Review your week and prepare.
Write down everything that needs to be done. Now put them in order from most important to least. How do these tasks add up? What do you need to get done first and what can you hold off for the next day? The biggest reason to prioritize is to eliminate stress and avoid feeling overwhelmed. If you construct a prioritized week your days will be smoother and your 'to do' list will be shorter.
3. Unite Your Tasks
When you look at your week do you see anything reoccurring? As a business owner a huge part of my job is marketing and social media. Instead of creating posts every day, I use my Sundays to plan out my social media schedule. Creating content that can be quickly posted each day. I love using apps like Crowdfire or hootsuite.com to help me schedule.
4. Plan Every Single Detail
You heard me! PLAN EVERY SINGLE DETAIL! Micro manage yourself. If you schedule every thing on your 'to do' list including making a phone call or taking a lunch you won't get the procrastination blues.
5. Make Time For You
Where is your time? A lot of my students say the same thing, "I don't have time." The reality is they have too much time and don't know how to use it. It's filled with unnecessary tasks and busy work. The truth is if you were to plan your week you would be productive and find moments for personal wellness. Make sure you are planning time for yourself. Mental breaks are a huge part of being successful.
